Bug Description
If you try to understant the behaviour it may be useful that shortcuts are explained. Try to google for "DAG" and for "DAG branch" and you'll see the problem.

Directed Acyclic Graph of course but the doc should spell it out.
I didn't know we had a dedicated project for the migration docs... AFAIK they are part of bzr itself, redirecting there.
