Description of the change

darkens the background of the unity UI elements when the dash is open, also adds a "sheen" texture over the top

Looks good. Here's my dash with this branch: http://ubuntuone.com/6wkS3hUacMEQBTWi9S9mjM taking into account that the default wallpaper is much less saturated in purple than the one on http://www.markshuttleworth.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/dash_home_11.10.png I think this is very good.

Comparing the two images above - on second thought - we maybe need to go a tad darker still?
