You can use the <seqReset /> and <seq /> tag in your RML report.

Yes, good point. Just one drawback - lost sxw connection. You couldn't edit
corresponded sxw file any more.

Just like the other merge proposals, this is interesting, but please resubmit your changes for trunk, as we cannot merge any improvement on 5.0.
